PART 4: Final Words

This is a reminder that If you have not already completed your feedback form via the link shared with you, we will need to receive this within three days of completing this course in order to provide you with a certificate of completion which is required before you can take “Be the SOLUTION”. 

Before I release you to your discussion time, I want to again thank you for your commitment to this course. I hope you have learned a great deal and that you recognize the power that each of you have in helping make the necessary paradigm shift in your congregation’s culture. You now have more knowledge on the subjects of sexuality, pregnancy and abortion than probably 99% of the Christian population.  

However, knowledge, by itself, puffs up and is of no use unless you apply wisdom and action to it. God doesn’t really care what we know unless we apply it in constructive ways to the way we live our lives. In fact, if our knowledge is not followed up with action, we are only deceiving ourselves. James 1:22-25 in the NIV says, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.  But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.” 

This is a fierce spiritual battle, and the enemy would much prefer that you go on with your life as usual after this course and not allow the Lord to use you to bring hope in these areas to your friends and family, coworkers and fellow students, and especially in your church. If you’re not at a place in your life that you can put a lot of time into it, at the very least, look for opportunities to influence those around you whenever these subjects come up. You WILL bring healing and hope to others!  Significant change will not happen overnight. This is, instead, a movement of the Holy Spirit, inviting us to join Him for the glory of God. 

Whether you need healing or desire to become a Hope and Grace Advocate or Ambassador, or both, remember that it is not people who have it all together who God uses the most. It is real people who are willing to be obedient to His call to be a light and bring hope to His church and your community. Information about becoming a Hope and Grace Partner, as a church, and a Hope and Grace Advocate or Ambassador, can be found in the SafeChurch section at the end of your manual. 

I believe God is calling many of you to continue forward in becoming Hope and Grace Advocates  and/or Ambassadors. In addition, we hope that you can engage the leadership at your church in a Hope and Grace Partnership, working towards forming a SafeChurch network.  As a certified SafeChurch, your church can be listed on a SafeChurch website where people can find a church near them to walk alongside them through an untimely pregnancy or in finding healing the healing they desperately need. 

Your next step will be to form a group who have completed Get Equipped to take the next course, Be the Solution, together. This course is required for those who want Be the Solution through your church congregation to begin redeeming the stories of men and women in your church and community experiencing untimely pregnancies or sexual or abortion trauma. That is how the paradigm shift will begin in earnest! Please don’t let the enemy distract you from what God is calling His church to do, as this is such an important next step for you to take. I conclude with a benediction for you from the Spirit and through belief in the truth.  He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. 

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
