PART 3: Proper Arguments

PART 3: Let’s talk about the PROPER ARGUMENTS we should strive to have.

In my blog, “Alarming Death Rates, which I wrote during the Covid crisis, I said, Unlike Covid19, abortion is fatal almost 100 percent of the time. This should alarm us to no end! Another 100 lives are lost each hour, nearly two every minute [in the US]. While it is common to think abortion only affects a small portion of us, every life that is frivolously thrown away as meaningless, diminishes the value of all human life for all humanity just a little more.

Distinguishing the Points – Covid is a VIRUS that takes the lives of less than one percent of those who get it. Abortion is a SIN that takes a life one hundred percent of the time it is chosen

Many people were extremely alarmed over Covid deaths – with no thought to the 2,400 lives lost to abortion every day in US since Jan 1973. Over half of these are children of Christians. Which one should be our greatest focus as followers of Christ?

The church can teach people how to stay healthy and build their immune systems instead of living in fear. The church can also seek to heal and correct the problem of abortion in the church, beginning with Get EQUIPPED so we can work toward becoming a safe haven.

The focus in this class is NOT arguing regarding ending abortion in the world but FIRST making it unthinkable in the church  to fight it with integrity and clean conscience in the world, or innocent in this matter as in 2 Cor 7:11, while providing a safe, supportive place for life choices and healing.

At the beginning of the Redeeming the Story Section is a Facebook post that someone made to which their friend responded negativelyHopefully, you have already read this! saw this as an opportunity to correct a flawed argument. While I answered well in some ways, I could have done a better job in other ways. After watching Part 4, the last of this Session and the course, please take some time to discuss what I could have done better. Make sure you save enough time to complete the rest of the Redeeming the Story section.
