Let’s Review: In Session 5, we had a history lesson in how we got to the mess we are in in this nation and discussed how compromised Christians have become in their beliefs about sex. We covered how pornography has permeated Christianity and the importance of talking about child sexual abuse in the church, how to prevent it, and how this is another area often not discussed in the church setting. We talked about how to prevent the stain in the future.
We discussed Joni’s story on the damage of sexual sin and specific points on how the church can improve in proactively preventing the stain and redemptively healing those who have been stained. We also covered the science behind sex and bonding and the two sexual scenarios for a woman: when she is cared-for and when she is not care-for properly. We discussed our approaches to promiscuity in men and women and that the best approach is a consistent, proactive, Biblical approach.
