Let’s Review: In Session 4, We discussed that God’s Word is our guide and how He gave us instructions on how to navigate the subject of sex and His protection when we do things according to His design for us.
We also covered the science behind sex and bonding.
We covered two sexual scenarios for a woman: when she is cared-for and when she is not care-for properly.
We talked about our approaches to promiscuity in men and women and that the best approach is a consistent, proactive, Biblical approach.
You also discussed Carolyn’s story and how she broke the generational curse in her family by telling the story.

PART 1: Let’s begin with a HISTORY LESSON
Anthony Comstock (1844-1915) was a politician who made predictions related to sex outside marriage and contraception. He predicted that this would cause a breakdown in family values and that children would now be seen as a burden and not a blessing. He saw obscenity, CONTRACEPTION, and abortion as linked on a continuum, with contraception the lynchpin to the others.
In 1859, Charles Darwin introduced his theory of evolution.
In 1869, Thomas Huxley, a biologist, coined the term “agnostic.”
1921 Margaret SANGER founded the Birth Control League, later called Planned Parenthood Federation of America in 1943.
In 1923 Margaret Sanger founded the Birth Control Clinical Research Board.
In 1923, the American Law Institute was formed whose intent was to remove 52 Bible-based laws that once protected marriage, women, and children – laws that concerned birth control, abortion, and obscenity.
Meanwhile, the Catholic church was against birth control while the Protestant church was mostly for it, no questions asked. The protestant church began to promote birth control like it was a gift from God. But Birth control was NOT God’s idea!
Until the past century – most non-religious people followed biblical morality.
The Laws of land – from the original 13 colonies to the constitution of 50 states were originally based on the ten commandments.
Here is the agenda that tore us away from those values:
In 1938 Alfred KINSEY, began his sex “research” that culminated in his book, Sexual Behavior and the Human Male in 1948. And Sexual Behavior in the Human Female in 1953. He is known as the Father of the Sexual REVOLUTION. He coined the phrase, “children are SEXUAL from birth.”
Alfred Kinsey began his sex research in 1938. He was a known homosexual. He based his studies on behavior of criminal groups in society for what he called “normal sexual behavior.” He used Male prisoners for male data, Prostitutes for female data, and Pedophiles for child data.
He elevated pleasure and suggested the elimination of procreation. He paved the way for the elimination of laws prohibiting birth control, abortion, and obscenity. He molested up to 317 children to study their behavior. Hugh Hefner, of Playboy Magazine embraced Kinsey’s philosophies.
In 1951 Margaret Sanger helped develop the birth CONTROL pill. This separated birth control from sex and simultaneously made children optional. To seal the deal, the church jumped on bandwagon.
In 1959, Planned Parenthood revealed their goal for sex EDUCATION: help young people obtain sex satisfaction before marriage, young boys and girls with contraception to achieve sexual satisfaction without pregnancy risk.
In 1960 the birth control pill became licensed by the FDA.
To pave the way for sex education in schools, God had to be removed first. In 1962, PRAYER was removed from public schools. In 1963, BIBLE reading was removed.
Alan Guttmacher, (former director of Planned Parenthood) said, “The only way to prevent the overturning of Roe v Wade is through sex education.” This shows the connection between sex education and abortion and Comstock’s prediction coming true.
This signaled a dramatic rise in STD’s, Out-of-wedlock births, Abortions, Pornography, Sex trafficking, and single-parent households.
In 1964 the Kinsey Institute’s launched SIECUS (Sex Information Education Counsel of the United States): They used the SAR (Sexual Attitude Restructuring) technique to desensitize children and adults, replacing biblical standards of holy living with “the act of sex” and the “genitals.”
This initiated beginning of sex ed in American schools. Every contributor to SIECUS had ties to humanism, communism, and eugenics. Many on curriculum board were employed by porn industry.
In 1973, Roe v Wade passed which made abortion legal through 9 months with individual states determining their own limits. COLORADO was the first state to legalize abortion in 1959 and is one of the few states that allow it up until birth {a 2025 Colorado ballot initiative passed which now allows for killing the baby AFTER its born – this is nothing more than actual murder!}. Roe v Wade was, of course, overturned 6/24/22. However, this has not lowered the number of abortions because of the availability of the abortion pill and the morning after pill.
Kinsey may have been forgotten by us today, but his influence continues, even being cited in CHRISTIAN resources on sex education and marriage.
Today – More than a quarter of Christians DON’T believe that waiting till marriage for sex is healthy, while more than half would have sex outside marriage.
Only about half believe sex should only be in a marriage between a man and a woman. In my book: ‘Why Can’t We Say the “A” Word in Church’, I list two studies which show the downward trend of Christian morals.
